Workshop – Materials for Future Energy Sources, 1-2/11/2017
The 3rd training workshop on Materials for Future Energy Sources aims to provide an insight in selected fields related to scientific approach of the wide field of materials intended for future energy sources, especially the renewable ones.
All lectures will include a short introduction and a review of fundamental principles as well as recent examples of work on fundamental research; hybrid perovskite, dye sensitized and organic solar cells, as well, thermoelectrics, fuel cells, batteries and materials for fusion reactors. Moreover, insights into the relationship between energy and economy will give the big picture.
The workshop is aimed at young researchers (and esp. MSc and PhD students) who wish to expand their knowledge in this field. Engineers and technicians working in research and education, who are interested to extend their expertise in materials’ science and engineering, will also benefit from it.
The workshop will include presentations and lab demonstrations for the following fields of research:
- Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells
- Dye Sensitized Solar Cells
- Organic Solar Cells
- Thermoelectric materials
- Materials for Fusion Reactors
- Fuel Cells
- Conventional and Synchrotron X-rays crystallography
- Crystallography by Neutron Scattering
- Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscopy
- Economics of Energy
