European Program ERASMUS+

The NTUA School of Chemical Engineering participates in the European Program ERASMUS+ (2014–2020). General information is available on the website of the NTUA Committee of European Programs: http://erasmus.ntua.gr.

Our School maintains active collaborations with the universities listed at: http://erasmus.ntua.gr/gr/agreements, where the level of cooperation (undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral) is also specified.

Outgoing Students

The selection of outgoing students of the School of Chemical Engineering is based on criteria set centrally by NTUA, which include:

  • grades in the courses successfully completed,
  • the number of courses passed,
  • the total number of courses up to the semester preceding the application,
  • the semester of study,
  • the language of the host country.

Detailed information: http://erasmus.ntua.gr/gr/studies_mobility.

The courses selected must cover an academic workload equivalent to the duration of the mobility.

Approval for undertaking part or the whole of the Diploma Thesis abroad requires compliance with the conditions for Diploma Thesis assignment at the School (School General Assembly decision).

For the possibility of carrying out the Internship within ERASMUS+, information is available here: Erasmus+ and Internship.

Incoming Students

Incoming students are required to attend and be examined in courses of the undergraduate program of the School of Chemical Engineering. They must have a good command of Greek, or alternatively, very good knowledge of English for those courses that can be offered in English.

A file with the courses available for Erasmus students, including their corresponding ECTS credits, can be found here: Erasmus Courses Offered.

T.I.M.E. Network

NTUA is a member of the T.I.M.E. Network (Top International Managers in Engineering), which aims to:

  • Internationalize high-level engineering education through a common academic program oriented towards students of the best technical universities in industrialized countries.
  • Provide the possibility of obtaining two degrees from two different institutions. The two degrees are awarded after a total of six years of study, including two years at a partner institution abroad. The degrees are awarded by the home and host institutions.

The program is recognized by the European Union, which provides funding for the network’s operation. Financial management is carried out by the founding member, École Centrale Paris (CentraleSupélec): https://www.centralesupelec.fr/.

One of the two years abroad is funded by the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) through the ERASMUS+ program.
