Aggelos Tsakanikas is Professor of Economic Evaluation of Technology Systems, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the School of Chemical Engineering, NTUA, Deputy Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering, Director of the Laboratory of Industrial and Energy Economics (EBEO) and Head of the Technology Transfer Office of NTUA. His research interests are related to technological and business strategy, economics of innovation, and entrepreneurship and related policies. He has participated in various European research projects in the area of innovation economics, socio-economic research, techno-economic evaluation and deployment of new technologies in the market, the exploitation of research results especially in the field of circular economy, development of business models, but also the process of business discovery. He has also conducted numerous studies on the Greek economy and its sectors, entrepreneurship and competitiveness, human capital, and related policies. He leads the Greek research team participating in the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), and the IMD competitiveness report for Greece. He has also served as Vice-President of the Hellenic Industrial Property Organization.
