The course aims to understand the polymerization processes, presenting the mechanisms and techniques used to produce polymers. In this way, a chemical-mechanical view of the respective processes is achieved, giving examples of the most important commercial polymers. At the same time, alternative technologies are introduced to design environmentally friendly polymer products and to develop recycling technologies for plastic waste.
