Course Description
The aim is to familiarize students with the fundamental principles and general methods of energy conservation in industry.
The course objectives are: (a) the development of basic tools for energy and exergy analysis of processes, and (b) energy and exergy analysis of: (i) Power generation systems, (ii) Industrial refrigeration and air conditioning, (iii) Basic cogeneration systems.
The course contents are:
- Introduction – The Energy Problem (focus in industry)

- Steam and Rankine Power Cycles
