Course Description
This course provides fundamental knowledge and essential skills in project management, a critical professional competency for engineers and scientists. As organizations increasingly operate through project-based structures, mastering project management principles is essential for effectively planning, executing, and controlling complex projects.
Students will gain a solid understanding of key project management concepts, methodologies, and tools. The course covers project planning, scheduling techniques, organization and management of engineering studies, technology selection, procurement, construction management, risk assessment, monitoring and control, corrective actions, communication strategies, and human resource management. Through diverse case studies students will apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. Additionally, a hands-on laboratory component will introduce students to industry-standard project management software, enhancing their practical skills in project planning and execution.
